Cake ordering & care
We accept orders within a 2-month window to help avoid changes or cancellations.
Our orders automatically cut off at 12am, 3 days prior, unless we are fully booked. Our date selector will show our current availability when you place your order, ensuring a smooth booking process.
Here is a guide on cake sizing + how to serve your cake. Please note these are rough indications. If you're a cake lover - then always size up for leftovers.
Always carry your cake box from the bottom and keep it level. Remove from fridge 2+ hours before serving for best flavour and texture. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for 2 months.
Your Baby Bruce is baked without preservatives, so it’s best enjoyed 1-2 days if shipped, or 2-3 if collected in-store. Please store your slice in the fridge, and bring it to room temperature before serving for the best flavour. After this time, we can’t guarantee the quality or take responsibility for any spoilage, as storage conditions may vary.
Pick-up & Shipping
Baby Buck Studio is based at 12/28 Remuera Road, Newmarket. Inside the train station square. We operate on a by appointment only basis. We are not a storefront.
Tuesday-Friday: 10am-4pm
Saturday: 8am-10am

An after-hour fee may apply.
We do not offer personal delivery for cakes at this time. However, we gladly accept Uber Delivery Package! Many customers choose to arrange an Uber to collect their cakes. Please let us know in advance when the collection will be organised, and we will be happy to hand the cake over to the driver.
Please note that we are not responsible for any damages that may occur during delivery. If you would like to use this service, kindly mention it in the "Any Other Requests" section of your order.
Due to the fragile nature of our vintage cakes, they cannot be shipped. However, the only items we can ship are our Baby Bruce cake slices, which taste just as delicious!
If you have ordered a Baby Bruce cake slice for delivery, please note that we use a third-party courier service. Shipping options include overnight perishable service for North Island orders and South Island orders. Please be aware that, according to NZ Couriers terms and conditions, “overnight” is only an estimate, and there may be potential delays. You will receive tracking information once your order has been picked up. In the event that your order is lost or stolen, we cannot take responsibility, and refunds will not be issued. It is at the customer's risk if the order is misplaced, as we cannot be held liable once your order has been dispatched from our premises. Please ensure you have read the full product description, which includes all shipping timeframes and dispatch days.
Cancellations, Refunds & Allergens
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the order date: No refund or credit.
Cancellations made 5 days or more before the order date are entitled to a 75% refund. 25% is retained to cover administrative and production costs. All refunds or credits are at our discretion
Refunds
If you're unsatisfied with your order, please contact us within 24-48 hours of your event, providing a detailed explanation and supporting evidence. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please note:
- No refunds for personal taste preferences.
- Return of the uneaten portion is required for assessment.
- A 25% non-refundable fee applies to initiated orders. The remaining balance may be refunded as store credit or bank transfer.
- No refunds for cakes that have been fully consumed.
- Once your order has been picked up or handed over for delivery, we cannot accept any responsibility. Please address any issues at the time of collection. We will not accept any refund requests for design once the cake has left the premises.
Our cakes contain dairy, eggs, and gluten*. They are halal-friendly. Please note that we do not currently offer dairy-free, eggless, or vegan cake options. We apologise for any inconvenience.
We are unable to guarantee that our products are 100% free of nuts and soy. A full list of ingredients can be provided upon request.
*We do offer gluten-free cake options. Make sure you select a flavour where gluten-free is specified.
